now that we know that a human d'ivers could possibly exist, is there a chance that SE and ICE introduce to us a being that is an ELIENT soletaken d'ivers?

imagine a couple of badass ascendants facing of an eleint soletaken and suddendly it turns out to be a d'ivers like 3 dragons. that may be a huge crowning moment of awesome!!!

If it were possible it would be completely badass, but personally I wouldn't mind just being like an impossibly strong d'ivers that can multiple into like 50 hounds, I think big :)

That would be Gryllen or Rylandaras. They're rather impressively strong. I also reckon you don't want to fuck with that Dhenrabi D'ivers. That guy was more scary than a Dragon D'ivers.

Agreed. I particularly liked how Fiddler toasts one in the beginning of DG, only later to go, "Oh, fuck, not Soletaken but D'ivers..." And then the Hounds of Shadow leap into their mouths and eat their way out.

I've forgotten - who/where's the speculation of human d'ivers? Like one person turning into a soletaken d'ivers form of multiple people??

Damn, that's trippy.

Hothalar, from RotCG. A single dude with three separate human bodies.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but doesn't he have four bodies total? Three on Quon Tali and one in the Otataral mines.

You don't want to know that before reading the book. You've already had one mystery ruined in the book now.

Yah, what the heck are you thinking?

I was always more impressed with the D'ivers that took the shape of something near impossible to stop.

A group of hounds can be stopped by swords, how do you fight a swarm of killer bees?

You ask your friendly mage friend to make a wave of fire. To which he replies that he is a mage of Mockra, and so you punch him in the face before getting stung to death.

Slightly off topic but your comment is very relevant to my interest in Kellanved and whether he had any "combat magic" or if he relied solely on stealth, illusion etc..

Good question, would a smoker work against those black flies/bees that can take down a horse with just a few stings?

I'm going to spoiler this just in case it came from TtH, but its nothing big so feel free to look at it as it answers your question I believe.

Spoiler

So, you're the historian who survived the Chain of Dogs.
Actually, I didn't.

It seems you stand alone.
It was ever thus.

The way I remember it was the actual circumstances seemed vague.

They said Kellanved took out the Fortress with an earthquake but I'm not certain they were referring to him directly or as the Emperor.

For example, it is also claimed Kellanved unleashed the Imass on Aren and we later learn that it was probably Laseen who gave them those orders.

So I'm not sure whether Kellanved caused the Earthquake or whether he called in one of his Mage Cadres to do it, why would Kellanved personally be there on the campaign?

We knew there were many more mages and High Mages during his reign(based on Tattersails comments when they took on Moons Spawn) so I wonder why the Emperor himself would get involved(especially since it would bring him into range ro the Veils, or at least make him more vulnerable)

I forget which book it was but at one point the whole upper eschelon of generals and Laseen go a campaigning and someone muses that it's like old times with K and the gang out to war together outnumbered etc etc so it seems Kel did lead the conquests and push the borders himself. I know he was involved in the 7C campaign off contintent so why not against the CG when taking the continent? (without looking at a map I hope I got those continent statements right)
