This thread is somewhere in between a social experiment and an opportunity to share recipes for our many bachelors and bachelorettes, inspired by a recent conversation on chat...

To kick off, I'll share the delightful lunch I felt inspired to whip up after talking to Munk.
Since my soletaken form is Martha Stewart, I'm going to take a more traditional approach... Please forgive the American measurements, I do.

Blissfully Beanie Pasta
1 cup farafelle pasta cooked
1 can cannellini beans rinsed
bunch escarole torn
handful grape tomatoes sliced
2 large cloves of garlic minced
2 Tbs olive oil
Salt, pepper, red pepper flakes to taste

In a large pan, saute garlic in olive oil over medium heat. Add tomatoes, beans and escarole, cooking until escarole is wilted. Add pasta, and season with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes to taste.

Please share what you are eating and add pictures when you can! Some things have to be seen to believe...

I just finished a sandwich. Whole wheat bread with ham, tomato, lettuce, swiss cheese, and mayo. I washed it down with an orange and glass of water.

What a shame, the better cuts are always the ones with the stripes...

CHICKEN

CHICKEN CHICKEN CHICKEN
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

But honest

Now I'm eating a bowl of steamed spinach. Just spinach. Tastes kinda like spinach. I don't like spinach.

I had an awesome meal at a friends a couple of nights ago. Spanish wild boar salami, hummus, peppercorned fatty duck, pickled lime in chilis, gouda and pork pate, everything accompanied by some black bread. All washed down with 3 different kinds of grappa. As he put it, humans have had fast food for centuries, and that's what it was.

The finale was caffe corretto with New Zealand honey and Poli.

You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.

I tried a Taiwanese Iron Egg yesterday Linky

It tasted nice but weird at the same time and was probably not a wise thing to add to a very hungover stomach.

Since this is a food thread, shouldn't that be 'fat, dumb Americans'? :p
